At the time of insurance, it is essential to ensure that the assets are neither under insured nor high premium is paid. It is not uncommon to come across a situation where business had to suffer a loss just because of being under insured.
Every client has different requirement and different insurance policy wording. We specialise in understanding client’s asset insurance valuation requirement depending upon insurance policy wording and undertaking valuation on the basis of Reinstatement Value or Indemnity Value.
Reinstatement Value is the cost necessary to replace, repair or rebuild the Property Insured to a condition substantially the same as but not better or more extensive than its condition when new.
Indemnity Value is the cost necessary to replace, repair or rebuild the Property Insured to a condition substantially the same as but not better or more extensive than its condition at the time that damage occurred taking into consideration age, condition and remaining useful life.
We accurately assess replacement cost, cost of demolition, cost escalation for inflation over policy period, lead time and rebuild period and calculate limit of liability for buildings and site improvements. While assessment of insurance value of machinery and equipment includes all the critical aspects such as current replacement cost, delivery and installation costs, foreign exchange rate for imported equipment and other associated costs are also applicable upto the stage of commercial production.
B&A Valuers specialises in understanding your asset insurance valuation requirement as per insurance policy wordings.
